Taylor McCubbin – President and CEO of Chimera

Taylor’s a friendly, relaxed firearms coach with a passion for teaching beginners and experienced shooters. He enjoys seeing students meaningfully progress, and gets a lot of fulfillment from showing folks how fun and safe shooting sports can be with proper education and supervision.

After spending 10+ years in the Canadian Army, Taylor’s since worked as a full-time firearms instructor for the Royal Canadian Air Force, where he pioneered a firearms program for airfield security teams. Most recently Taylor wrote the new lesson plans for the 32 Brigade Battle School for the service rifle as he worked once again for the Army, where he continues to service in a reserve capacity. In 2017 he started Chimera Firearms Training in order to make high quality training more accessible to armed professionals in Canada.
